In the event of severe winter weather the Head will decide if the school will open based on a risk assessment informed by forecasts.

If it is decided to close the school in the interest of safety, the following resources will be updated as quickly as possible with the latest information:-

• School website (home page banner and this page)
• BWordsworths Instagram feed
• Microsoft Teams (information issued to students from Head of Year)

If the school is open, but your child is unable to attend, please email attendance@bishopwordsworths.org.uk as soon as possible to confirm they will not be on-site.

Please note that there are no longer local radio stations who broadcast school closed lists, so the above sources are the only official updates from BWS
